Nicole M. Thweatt, PhD, MS, LMHC is a licensed mental health counselor who earned her master’s degree in counseling and psychology from Troy State University and her doctorate degree in general psychology from Capella University. She is a member of the American Counseling Association and Mental Health Association of Central Florida.
Nicole has experience working with children, adolescents, and adults providing individual, couples, family, and group therapy. Nicole has held various positions in the mental health field to include working as a Domestic Violence Advocate, Case Manager, Lead Children’s Therapist, Clinical Supervisor, and an Independent Contractor as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor.
Nicole does have extensive training and a passion for working with adolescents. She has been an Independent Contractor for a local community mental health agency providing school-based counseling services at a local high school and middle school since 2009. The main areas of Nicole’s focus in her treatment with adolescents include addressing anger and aggression, depression, self-mutilation, and low self-esteem.
